In the Ring with Jordan #9: Sister Abigail VS "Demon" Finn Balor best contested for buried

This Sunday WWE will present the TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view. While The Shield will reunite and Asuka will make her main roster debut, the card is really lackluster. One match that has me intrigued, however, is "Demon" Finn Balor going up against Bray Wyatt's "alter-ego", known as Sister Abigail.

If the build-up is any evidence as to how this match will go down, it will be an interesting match-up, to say the least. The feud between these two has been brewing since late last year, when Wyatt costed Finn Balor an opportunity at the Intercontinental Championship. Since then, they have had a match on Raw, a match at SummerSlam, and a match at No Mercy.

What lacks in this feud is stipulations. This feud can only be stretched out for so long before fans become uninterested in it. If Bray Wyatt wants to end Finn Balor for good, then a "Buried Alive" match would be the best way to do so. They haven't had a Buried Alive match in WWE since 2010 with Kane and The Undertaker. The objective of a Buried Alive match is to throw your opponent underground in a hole that has already been dug. Then the combatants must cover dirt over their opponent, essentially "burying" them alive.

Bray Wyatt wants the Demon to die, so this would be his way to gain momentum and a way for the Demon Finn Balor to disappear from television for a while. There has been a rumor going around that Finn Balor may challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble, and if Brock is going to easily defeat Balor, he must not transform into the Demon. If Finn wrestles Brock as the Demon, he loses credibility as a dominant entity. Bray Wyatt could be the one to do that.

Not only momentum for Bray, but TLC as a whole is lacking stipulations. In fact, the only match on the card that has a stipulation is the main event, which is a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. I used to look forward to the TLC pay-per-view to see stipulation matches, but this year is really lacking that.

How long can the Bray Wyatt/Finn Balor feud drag out until? Royal Rumble is very close. Are they really going to drag it out that long? It seems like TLC will be the end of the feud. Assuming "Sister Abigail" wins, where does Bray Wyatt go from here? Gloating about him burying Finn Balor would make Bray Wyatt's character stronger. He has unfortunately been on the receiving end of terrible booking, and if he buried Finn Balor alive there could be further momentum, possibly leading to an Intercontinental Championship reign down the line.

I'm not going to get my hopes up for this match, but they are really failing to capitalize on a good opportunity to end this feud. What do you guys think? Let me know by sending me a Tweet (@JumbaDaniels) or shooting me a DM on Instagram (@wrestlinginvasion).
