In the Ring with Jordan #11: The problem with the Cruiserweight division

If anyone knows my wrestling preference, they know I'm a heavy advocate for the Cruiserweight division. I, too, am not exactly the tallest and I certainly don't weigh 300 pounds, so I know how much of a chip on their shoulder these wrestlers have. With the Cruiserweight division's reincarnation comes its doubters. Many fans were complaining about them being segregated from the rest of the roster and how they are stuck in a "jail" known as 205 Live.
I'm a huge supporter of 205 Live, as the show revolves around showcasing wrestling talent. However, the main problem I have noticed with the entire Cruiserweight division is their lack of multi-man Cruiserweight Championship feuds.
Every single main Cruiserweight Championship feud has been between the champion and one challenger. It has gotten to the point where it is repetitive and the casual fan (who only tunes into Raw and will only tune into 205 Live if they had an incentive to) uses the Cruiserweight segments as a bathroom break.
Enzo Amore was a breath of fresh air for the division, but even his participation isn't helping the overall problem. At the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view, then-champion Kalisto defended his Cruiserweight Championship against Enzo Amore. Not only was this a one-on-one match, but it had no stipulation to it.
The old Cruiserweight division thrived on stipulation matches. Ladder matches and 6-pack challenges allowed Cruiserweights like Chavo Guerrero, Jimmy Wang Yang, and Kid Kash to thrive when typically they wouldn't be given that spotlight. The Cruiserweight division clearly has the roster to go this route. Talented wrestlers like Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik, and Tony Nese are simply being wasted away with seemingly meaningless feuds.
If they were put in the title picture, more fans will be able to get behind the wrestlers. Their lack of exposure (most of them wrestle on Main Event, a show that isn't even on the WWE Network) ruins their championship aspirations.
I thought that "Enzo VS The Division" would result in a possible gauntlet match for the Cruiserweight Championship, but it ended out becoming Kalisto versus Enzo Amore--- yet ANOTHER one on one feud.
As 205 Live approaches its one year anniversary, they really need to capitalize on the opportunity to showcase ALL of the talent, not just the ones who the WWE views as contendership worthy. That will fix the casual fan issue and open their eyes to just how magnificent these Cruiserweights are.
